Cherai beach also known as the Princess of the Arabian Sea is a clean and shallow beach caressed by both Arabian the sea and the Kerala backwaters. Lined with lush green coconut groves and paddy fields, it is an ideal place for picnic or holiday spot for tourists and the local population who wants to get away from the din of crowded city. Cherai beach with its golden sands, blue water and lush green vegetation is totally different from all other beaches in Kerala due to it shallow waters which is ideal for swimming and sunbathing. The backwaters connected with this beach offers a ride in a country house boat where you can catch fish, lobsters and prawns using the traditional fishing nets.     Cherai beach is only 26 Kilometres away from the Cochin International airport(CIAL/COK).
  • train
    You can reach by train from any part of India. The nearest railway station is Ernakulam (25 Kilometers).
  • bus
    Bus service is available from all the places. But it will be a memory if you take a boat from Ernakulam(ferry) to Vypin island, then take a bus.
